Shigetsugu Sakai, specializes in biotechnology, biochemistry and molecular biology, especially in metabolic engineering. He intensively studied fermentative production of succinic acid from glycerol plus carbon dioxide as an environment-conscious bioprocess during his doctoral studies.
He attended Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tokyo, from 1999 to 2003 and studied in Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Tokyo, from 2003 to 2009 (Ph.D.). After graduation, he joined our firm.
